- 1814 Court Martial of Tennessee Militiamen
- (Book - Abebooks) : This 181 page book is the report from the War Department to the House of Representatives in the 20th Congress Numbered 140. During the War of 1812, a number of units from the various West [now Middle] Tennessee volunteered to fight with General Andrew Jackson. However, there were many problems arising with these units over the length of their service. A number of units left the Battle Field and returned home earlier than the government allowed, thus a court martial was issued. This is the basis for this report even though it was given ten years after the fact. The first portion of the book relates the proceedings of the trial and the second half deals with the rosters of the various units. There are over 7,000 entries in the index with full name and place names as well. -

- Tennessee Soldiers in the Revolution: A Roster of Soldiers Living During the Revolutionary War in the Counties of Washington and Sullivan
- (Book - Genealogical.com) : The title of this work diverts attention from the fact that its contents include a good deal more than a roster of Revolutionary soldiers, though indeed a not insignificant portion of the work is given over to a list of such soldiers taken from the Revolutionary Army Accounts of North Carolina in the State Archives at Raleigh, showing claims against North Carolina for service by men of the western-most counties of Washington and Sullivan, later Tennessee. There are also sections devoted to wills of Washington County, sections on marriages of Blount and Davidson counties, and a final section on Revolutionary grants in Davidson County. -
